Plaid is the company that connects apps to bank accounts, and your bank login goes to them, never to us. We asked for transactions and nothing else, so moving money is not a permission this connection carries.

The Federal Reserve Diary of Consumer Payment Choice puts card payments at about 31 a month. The 45 cent average round-up is our own estimate, not theirs.
At 31 purchases a month your pot is charged about 24 times a year, and card processing on that comes to roughly $12. That comes out of the gift, so the tzedakah would receive about $155 of your $167. There is a box on the card screen to cover the fee yourself instead: tick it and your card is charged about $179 and the tzedakah gets the whole $167.
Nothing here is a promise about what anyone gives. It is one number multiplied out, and you are holding the number.
A shul, a school, or a Chabad house can get everyone rounding up for the same cause. Small change from a lot of people funds whole programs.
